This week we in literacy we have been looking at rhyming words. Could the children please complete the literacy worksheets that are enclosed in their homework books.
As part of our local area topic, we are looking at the impact traffic can have on our village. As part of their homework this week we would like the children to carry out a survey of parked cars in their street. The children will need to count parked cars at three different times of day and choose an appropriate way to present the data, for example via a graph or table.
This week in preparation for the nativity play, we would like the children to learn their nativity songs and words (if applicable).

Year 1 children need to write the numbers 1 to 10 in both digit and word form. Please practise writing any numbers you get round the wrong way. This week we would like all the children to learn “Harvest Hymn – Give Thanks” in preparation for the Harvest Festival next week.
We are very short of headphones during ICT lessons and it would be more hygienic if every child in the class had their own set of headphones. If you have a spare set of headphones at home or are able to purchase a cheap set, we would be very grateful.
