1) Learn the 2 Caribbean songs we have been singing in class. Maybe you can also think of some actions to go with them.
2) On Wednesday we will be making our carnival masks. If you want to bring something extra in to add to them e.g. glitter pens, then you are welcome to. (We have sequins, coloured card, shiny card and paints.) For the next two weeks the school as a whole will be researching countries. We will be focusing on the Caribbean. Your homework is to find out some information about the Carribean that we can share with the class.
Circles: On your sheet, draw the missing pictures and sentences.
Triangles: On your sheet, read the sentences and write all the questions in the brief-case. Then write four of your own questions. Squares/Hexagons: Write a detailed character description of a good character and a bad character. Some of the Year 2 children have been asking when their SATs are. Just a reminder to them, their Maths paper will be on Monday 28th May. The children have practised some and did well, so they have no need to worry.
Reading and writing will follow after half term. Circles/Triangles

Year 1: Maths activity in your books.
Year 2: Maths SATs questions. Complete the adjectives sheet in your challenge books.
Bonus homework: As we are looking at toys from the past and present, it would be brilliant if you could bring in a photograph of your favourite toy, or your relatives, to place on our display.
