This week we will be raising money for 'Children in Need'.
Friday is Superhero day. Staff and pupils have been asked to come to school dressed
as a super hero. It should be a fun day!

The school is also going to raise money through daily cake shops.
Conkers are selling cakes on Thursday so please send in any shop bought or
homemade cakes and biscuits. The children will have the opportunity to buy
cake from the shop every day so please send a small amount of money in a purse, if you wish your child to buy one.

YEAR 2 MATHS Homework: If you want to challenge your children this week then please ask them to practise xtables. The order we learn them is: 2, 5,10, 3, 4, 6, 8, 7, 9.

We also link this to repeated addition: 3x6=18 is 6+6+6. 6x3=18 is 3+3+3+3+3+3
Next steps in learning will focus on the 'inverse' operations, linking multiplication with division.
